The issue being that my external hard drive, that prior to completing a clean install of Windows 7 (Windows 7 was installed previously as well) was working fine with my PC, now is denying me access. I connected it to my Mac and it worked fine, however on my PC I receive the error message . Recently after playing with the drives security properties I received the message that I must format the drive before use, which it is still working fine with my Mac. A lot of files and folders in Windows Vista does not actually belongs to users. Rather, most system files have “Trusted Installer” as owner, the assign or grant. The hard drive is a WD My Book 2. TB.
